The first scenes are about a street race with a hotted up 1950's car. Two cars end up racing around the streets of Cuba.
"Quite simply, The Fate of the Furious has the most entertaining first 10 minutes of the year"The cuban landscapes are old fashioned and beautiful. This and the way the race ends makes it one of the most memorable street races in the Fast and the Furious franchise. So, the memorable Domenic Terreto (played by Vin Diesel) and his crew are back. But this time Dom goes up against his own crew.
Dom meets the conniving Cipher (the beautiful Charlize Theron) in Cuba and she cons him into working with her on a project. Dom ends up being blackmailed and manipulated into going against his own team and in a way he falls for Cipher.
The whole FF Team is back: Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (ludacris), Mr Nobody (Kurt Russell) and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel). Joining the team is an agent that works under Mr Nobody referred to as Little Nobody played by (Scott Eastwood).
Mr Nobody (Kurt Russell) pops up again working for a government organisation that employs the FF Team. Owen shaw (Jason Stratham) is also back, the team needs his help to arrest Dom. Shaw vs Hobbs are both in prison. The prison escape scene is exciting, Shaw and Hobbs fist fighting there way out.
The FF girls in general are both stunningly beautiful and born action stars. The whole team tries to take on Terreto in a street race/fight and this is memorable. Cables, flying cars and weapons are use to restrain Dom's vehicle but he escapes. Roman has one kick ass scene in the final sequence that stops the team thinking he's a fool. I won't spoil it any further but Cipher ends up controlling a sub-marine that surfaces in what looks to be the North Pole! Other memorable scenes include Owen Shaw (holding Terreto's baby) fighting one of Cipher's thugs. And an orange lamborhini ends up driving on the ice in a typical FF scene!
Great ending. Not as great a plot as FF7 but the action sequences are extremely unique and entertaining. Enjoy the full 136 minutes.
