The audience feels for Jasmine. Alec Baldwin (playing Jasmine's ex husband) also puts in a good performance.

The plot revolves around a New York socialite, whose in denial regarding a marriage breakup, who imposes upon her sister.

The supporting cast is exceptional. What a great performance by Sally Hawkins (the sister). Bobby Cannavale is in a memorable role as the sister's love interest.

Cate Blanchett won a Best Actress Oscar in 2014 for her performance and it was well deserved. Blue Jasmine is worth every bit of it's 90 minutes, enjoy.
