This was a hilarious and memorable sitcom. It is about a wealthy African American Dry Cleaner "George Jefferson". He has a wife and son. They move into a luxury apartment and have adventures with the other tenants. They also have a sexy and silly maid called Florence. Sherman Hemsley excelled in his role as George Jefferson. The characters actors/actresses that appeared through out the series also did a splendid job.
