Two doofas brothers ( Will Ferrell as Steve Butabi and Chris Kattan as Doug Butabi) live for clubbing and picking up women even though they hardly ever do! Their favourite club is The Roxbury. Their dance moves are legendary. They also dream of one day owning their own dance club. The outstanding cast includes: Raquel Gardner as Hot Girl, Viveca Paulin as Porsche Girl, Paulette Braxton as Porsche Girl, Michael M. horton as Security Guard, Richard Francese as Security Guard, Jennifer Coolidge as Hottie Cop, Michael Clarke duncan as Roxbury Bouncer (as Michael 'Big Mike' Duncan), Richard Grieco as Richard Grieco, Trish Ramish as Roxbury Club Girl, Loni Anderson as Barbara Butabi, Dan Hedaya as Kamehl Butabi, Gina Mari as Saturday Night Fever Girl and Roy Jenkins as Flower Customer #1.
This movie has a great soundtrack including "What is Love" by Haddaway hahaha. The dance scenes in the club are very funny and memorable. The Butabi brothers work for their dad played by Dan Hedaya. He has a store that sells artificial flowers hahaha. They still live at home with dad and mom (played by Loni Anderson). Every weekend they go to Los Angeles nightclubs to pick up women but their not that good! It's very funny to see them in action. This movie was Will Ferrel's break out feature film role. Here we see his sarcastic dry humour in action! He also perfected his straight face here. As in he never smirks before is comedic delivery. He catches you offguard hehe. He also rants and gets anxious in this film and this is a trait that remains to this day! Chris Kattan also put in a great performance as a silly short man. Chris makes funny faces and is a very physical comedian. The comic timing between Chris and Will was spot on.
